Nitpickers United
May. 2nd, 2011 10:46 pmI have this particular problem with almost every live-action scene that takes place in cold climate. Oh, wait, it's not my problem, it's the director/costumer/whoever's.
( What's wrong in this pic? (which is from Game of Thrones s01e03, but IMO not all that spoilery, just two characters standing around and you can't even see their faces) )

Jun. 13th, 2010 09:52 pmI just watched the last episode of Lexx and now I'm depressed. D: The irony of the end is delicious, and I hate it and I love it. Obviously I need to download the first three seasons, too.

01. Grab the nearest book.
02. Open the book to page 123.
03. Find the fifth sentence.
04. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
05. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
o6.Tag five people. Doooo iiiiit! :D
And because I'm so very nice, I also grabbed the nearest book written in English:
Notice that I'm not reading either of them right now. I'm in the middle of Patricia A. McKillip's In the Forests of Serre, but that book is in the bathroom.

- "-- All the faithful in his empire are under his care, in theory, but the burden of his responsibilities means in practice he simply doesn't have time."
"Of course not."
"Meanwhile, there is no other system of justice for disputes among people. As the law is based on the Quran, the qadis, the ulema, and other holy men such as yourself are the logical choice to take this burden."
"Of course."
- The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson
