Legal Drug
Jan. 20th, 2008 02:48 pmBefore you get too excited I should clarify that I'm talking about CLAMP's manga, not actual legal drugs. Of course, with the innuendo, subtext, pretty and crossdressing, you might not even notice the difference...
In any case, I meant to ask if any of you are familiar with the official Tokyopop translation? I recently read the scanlations and I'm curious to know if Tokyopop's version differs from those (and if they do, how much). I'm kind of tempted to buy them but the bookshop didn't have any when I went to check. I could order from their online shop but I'd rather not when I don't know how good the translation is.
The other option is to go to the shop where I buy my other non-CLAMP manga and hope they have them. Unfortunately I always feel a bit guilty when I go to a little shop and then don't buy anything. Especially if the cashier stares. And I wouldn't buy their volumes because it'd be more expensive (almost three euros/volume).
So, anyone know if Tokyopop's translation is any good?
Also, HELLO, new people on my flist! &hearts
