You know how movies and TV-shows love those winter scenes where it's snowing? Big, fat snowflakes landing on our hero/ine and everything looking like a winter wonderland?

I'd bloody well like to know if any of those directors (or whoever it is who wants those scenes) has actually ever been outside in a weather like that. The snowflakes are heavy and wet and landing on your eyeballs, it's probably windy and if it snows long enough you have four inches of new snow to plough through. Romantic indeed. [/sarcasm]

Have you by any chance seen The Day After Tomorrow?

I could accept the sudden changes in the weather and the gigantic hurricanes (ooh, shiny effects!), but even my suspension of disbelief has limits. If you're in a rather ordinary tent in the middle of a blizzard of the century, there's no way you're warm enough to take your coat off. And the less I say about running in a reeeeally cold weather without your gloves the better. *headdesk* Idiots, all of them.

It's been snowing for two days. I don't know which is worse, this or when it's actually cold (not that it has really been cold this winter. -15C for what, a few days?).
